A REVIEW OF THE SAMSUNG QX410

A new introduction to the world of laptops, the Samsung QX410 looks pretty promising, with its stylish looks and good enough working standards. There’s a lot to look forward on paper, but is it really what it looks like? We’re about to find out.

The Samsung QX410 boasts a Core i5 processor, an NVIDIA GeForce 310M GPU with Optimus, and a 640 GB Hard Drive, and also an aluminium lid, and a fulsh glass 14 inch display. While the hardware looks good, it also is good looking, being only an inch thick. On the left edge it houses the ports for VGA, Ethernet, HDMI, headphones, and microphones, as well as two USB jacks. The right side has the optical drive, a 5-in-1 media card, and one remaining USB port.

The display is a nice 14 inches, with a  1366×768 resolution. The speakers are okish, and while they’re passable when you’re listening to music while working, they are’nt quite as good when watching a movie or playing a game. The viewing angles are good, and the color distortion isn’t very much, which is a pretty good thing.

A MUSICAL APPLICATION REVIEW: Djay FOR iPAD

It’s true that a high profile gadget is known by the kind of applications it can treat you to, otherwise it is useless. Keeping that thought in mind, Apple has brought to us the new musical application that can make novices look like professional DJ’s, and creatively enough, they are calling this iPAD application Djay!

A application from Algoriddim, Djay makes full use of the musical potential of the 9.7 inch display of the iPAD. Not exactly designed to substitute the paraphernalia that professional DJ’s use, this will still live up to their expectations rather pleasantly. Djay turns your iPAD’s screen into a funky DJ rig, with all the fancy knobs and buttons that make want to reconsider your career choice. On top you have the two decks with the waveform overviews, while the middle contains the crossfader, individual channel mixers, volume controls, and pitch blender sliders. The bottom houses the various cueing buttons, and there’s an “Auto mix” button in the front and center. Another cool design is the needle we can be moved to seek within the tracks.
